King Delvantae issues apology after viral video shows him threatening children on school bus to protect his daughter (Update)

By now, many of you have seen the viral video of a father threatening a bus full of children in Louisville, KY as he warns them not to touch his daughter again. after she was reported beaten.

The father has since been identified as Delvantae King, and he is apologizing for his actions explaining that his feelings took over at the time. In an interview with News about wave 3King said,

“My child has been bullied since last year… the school has been informed, the parents have been informed, no one has done anything about it.”

He continued to share that the first three days of the new school year, his child was bullied by the same person. King said that he tried to resolve the situation with the school and parents, but no one did anything about the situation. He said his daughter was jumped on the school bus and ended up with a knot on her head.

“I could say different things, but I let my emotions and frustrations and anger show the best of me,” he said. “I’m pretty sure anyone has kids if they do too.”

He made it clear that this whole incident was caused by bullying and that with no way out, he questioned, “what do you have left to do?”

Like before reported, Principal Jamie Wyman of Carter Elementary School sent an email to parents Friday after the incident and reassured them that bus drivers had been instructed to return students to school without any further stops are needed, and once at school, the student waits until LMPD and JCPS Security arrive.

She also shared that the bus was tracked after King was removed from the bus and that the children reported seeing a gun as the bus was followed.
