Kia has released the first images of the 2025 model K8 closed topand the full-size sedan now adopts the brand’s current design language. The brand’s latest model takes inspiration from the full-size electric SUV, EV9with some design similarities including vertically oriented LED headlights and daytime running lights.

According to the Korean news site, the front and rear overhangs have increased by 10 mm and 25 mm respectively. Hankyungwith a slimmer body-colored front section nestled between black sections, while the lower air intake is a trapezoidal section that connects to the headlights at each corner.

Viewed from the side, the K8 continues to have a sloping roofline that tapers towards the trunk lid, while at the rear, the angular theme continues and retains the slim, full-width LED taillights.

The lighting for the K8 includes a dynamic welcome light function, with three user-selectable patterns. This is combined with a ‘dynamic escort light’ function, according to the report. Hankyungand this lighting system is used to ‘welcome and see off’ passengers as they board and exit the vehicle.

Data from the vehicle’s navigation system is used to inform the electronically controlled suspension settings, predicting and changing the damping force when the vehicle passes over speed bumps, for example. The system also adjusts the suspension when highway driving assist or intelligent cruise control is activated, to limit sway and roll.

As for assistance systems, the Kia K8 comes with steering wheel grip detection as standard, while Lane Keep Assist 2 has been improved by switching from the current steering torque input method to steering angle input. Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control and Highway Driving Assist are standard on all trim levels, according to the report. Hankyung.

Inside, the new-generation K8 features a dual-wide-screen instrument cluster and floating infotainment display, with the dashboard architecture appearing to be a variation of the EV9. According to the publication, this brings a next-generation infotainment setup that supports over-the-air (OTA) updates.

The center console armrest is heated, while further forward is a dual wireless smartphone charging pad, UV disinfection and fingerprint authentication. The K8’s interior also features Ergo Motion front seats, which have airbags in the seat base and backrest.

Initial details suggest the 2025 Kia K8 will come with three engine options, including two petrols – a 2.5-litre and 3.5-litre naturally aspirated unit – and a 3.5-litre LPG version, with a hybrid version coming soon. According to HankyungKia K8 prices in Korea start from 37.36 million won (RM122,278) to 51.67 million won (RM169,114).
