The KFC Japan X account (formerly known as Twitter) has posted a teaser for an upcoming Umamusume: Beautiful Derby collaboration or event. More details will be announced on August 20, 2024.
There is virtually no information about this other than some hashtags and a picture of a mysterious horseback rider with Colonel Sanders’ unique facial features. Even those unfamiliar with UmamusumeHowever, the face is recognizable as Gold Ship’s. She’s wearing Colonel Sanders’ mustache and glasses. People are using some of the hashtags in KFC’s Tweets to post fanart, comics, and pictures. In addition to the artwork of Gold Ship eating fried chicken, there are also people posting pictures of a Gold Ship eating noodles in front of an actual KFC order.
Although she is not exactly the main character, Gold Ship in Umamusume: Beautiful Derby is the mascot and main character of PakaTubeis the official channel of Umamusume. Her popularity stems not only from her looks but also from her eccentric behavior. The real-life horse Gold Ship also Beloved by fans because of her unique personality. So even without taking into account her status as the official spokesperson of PakaTube, it probably comes as no surprise that Cygames or KFC would choose her for a special crossover event.
