Returning to the Malaysian motorcycle market is the Kawasaki Vulcan S 650 2023 priced from RM36,500. Available in two color options, Metallic Flat Spark Black retails for RM36,500 and Pearl Matte Sage Green for RM37,200 with stock available at Kawasaki Malaysia Edaran Modenas (EMOS) authorized dealer showrooms ) from the end of March.
The Kawasaki Vulcan S 650 is a midsize cruiser, powered by a 649 cc liquid-cooled parallel-turbo engine with DOHC and eight valves, powered by EFI. The claimed power figure is 59.9 hp at 7,500 rpm with 62.4 Nm of torque at 6,600 rpm, which goes into a six-speed gearbox and ultimate chain drive.
Saddle height on the Vulcan S is set at 705 mm and weighs 229 kg with a 14-liter fuel tank. The Vulcan S also comes with the Kawasaki Ergo Fit system that allows riders to fine-tune their riding posture using different handlebars, seats, and a three-position latching system.
Braking is done by a single hydraulic disc with a 272 mm disc at the front 18 inches and a 217 mm disc at the rear 17 inches with two-wheel ABS as standard. Tire size uses 120/70-18 at the front and 160/60-17 at the rear.
As for suspension, the Vulcan S has telescopic forks at the front, which are non-adjustable, and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear.
