Karl-Anthony Towns injury update: Timberwolves star injured back vs Wizards after clumsy fall



Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns escaped a 115-107 loss tonight to the Washington Wizards after suffering a crushing defeat late in the game.

Towns injured his back after manipulating the downhill with 2:14 remaining, clumsily landing on the way down. He was immediately in obvious pain, seen clutching his back as he returned to the bench before leaving the game.

Towns left the game after a lousy performance, finishing with 34 points and 10 rebounds after the loss.

What is Karl-Anthony Towns’ injury?

The severity of Town’s injury is still unknown, but the good news is that according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, X-rays of his back have come back negative.

“I feel better than I thought,” Towns said, via Chris Hine of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

How long will Karl-Anthony Towns be absent?

It is not clear if Towns will miss any games, and there is no timetable for his injury yet.
