Joseph Parker looks at Wilder for his next battle
Deontay Wilder is on the list of names targeted by Joseph Parker.
The New Zealand heavyweight contender had hoped to take on Joe Joyce this weekend at Wembley Arena, but their bout fell flat. Parker then went on to sign with BOXXER and their CEO Ben Shalom say they still hope the fight with Joyce can still be done but must now consider other options.
Shalom said to Sports sky.
“It was the first fight that Joseph Parker wanted to do, he wanted to make it clear that he didn’t beat Joe Joyce.”
“If it doesn’t happen, that’s number one, we’re looking at everything. We’re looking at (Otto) Wallin, we’re looking at (Jermaine) Franklin, we’re even looking (Deontay) Wilder now he’s back in the mix and probably a Dillian Whyte rematch. “
Deontay Wilder, former WBC Heavyweight champion has been on leave since the second time lost career to Tyson Fury in October last year.
During his potential return to the ring, Wilder was somewhat reluctant to say Top boxing champion:
“I’m definitely considering coming back.”
“This is what we are looking for. I feel motivated to get back to my career and back to people when they donate my statue.”
“It’s just a happy moment for me right now. I am very lucky and I am very happy and I am at peace. I am in a great position in life. I’m living my dream, not the American dream, but my dream.”
Shalom reveals that Parker will fight at the end of September. Last time Parker beat Dereck Chisora to a straight win over the British veteran.
