Jos Buttler hits 4th record of the season, equaling Virat Kohli’s massive IPL record

Jos Buttler was in his best form of destruction on Friday as he beat the fourth century of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 2022 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad ahead of Royal Challengers Bangalore to take the team his first final since 2008. Chasing 158, Buttler smashed an undefeated 106 over 60 as the Royals finished the game in 18.1 overs to set up the final against the Gujarat Titans. With this, Buttler balanced Virat kohliA record four centuries in just one IPL season, an achievement the former RCB captain achieved in 2016.

Buttler had previously scored centuries against the Mumbai Indians, the Delhi Capitals and the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Kohli, in 2016, was in top form and scored a record 973 runs with the help of four centuries leading RCB to the final, only to lose to SunRisers Hyderabad.

Buttler has now had 824 runs this season and is set to win the Orange Cap. He will have David WarnerIn his sights, there are 848 runs from 2016, which is the second-highest number of runs a player has scored in a season.

On Friday, Buttler hit his half-century of 18 deliveries helping his team get off to a good start. Then he slows down, to the required speed close to running a ball, and then gets things done in style for his team.

Prior to that, Prasidh Krishna and Obed McCoy each took three brackets to help limit RCB to a modest total of 157/8. Rajat Patidar, with a record of 58, is the top scorer for RCB.
