Jockeys ‘Guild Restoring Rights at Monmouth
With the decision of the New Jersey Racing Commission passed Monmouth ParkThe “House Rules” requirement reflects the Safety and Integrity Authority’s (HISA) Integrity and Safety Regulations for the use of equestrians, the Jockeys’ Guild’s Board of Directors voted to serve reinstate benefits for members who choose to ride at Monmouth Park when the meeting begins May 7.
Monmouth Park’s “family rules” allow a jockey to overuse his mount for six times in a race, though no more than twice in a row without stopping. However, the penalties being applied by Monmouth Park in the house’s rules go far beyond the penalties of HISA.
