Jennifer Lopez was honored with the Generation Award at the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards and while on stage, the superstar revealed her simple celebration plan with Ben Affleckwho did not attend.
“Ben and everyone at home, hi!” she exclaimed during her acceptance speech on June 5 at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. “Wait for me to have dinner, I’ll be home at 7!”
In response to her sweet thanks to her fiancé, J. Lo reflected on her on-screen legacy, saying she has a deep connection to all of the characters she takes on.
“I’m not any of the women I’ve played, but there’s a part of what’s profound to me in each of those characters,” she shared. “And because you can’t create truth unless you actually live it.”
Jennifer – who is still the only artist to have a #1 album and a #1 movie – went on to thank the many people in her life, including those who have been challenged along the way.
