Jack Miller isn’t content to just compete in ASBK during his ‘break’ back home, but he also lined up last weekend for the North Brisbane Cup’s Dirt/Flat events. 2022.

Jack missed the 2021 Event held in January due to having to go to Sepang to test with Ducati.

However, this year’s event saw Jack show up with both 450 and 125 to compete in the 125 cc Cup and Pro 450 classes.

As usual, Jack is extremely social with his fans, spending time chatting and taking pictures with anyone who approaches him. It’s been a long time since Jack campaigned for bikes at the cup, and of course now it’s the same brand he’ll ride in MotoGP in 2023.

The event is divided into four main sections, the first part is the Long Trail, the second part is the Short Road, the third part is the Dirt Road (long track with dog legs) and finally the 20 lap dirt road race for 12 riders. through qualifying.

Jack was able to win the heat on the Short Run and another turn on the Trail. He finished on the podium for all but the second inning of the dirt track events.

Jack also had a great time at 125, finishing in either P1 or P2 in five of the six 125 cc Cup Rounds and in typical style P1 in the final 125 cc Cup race of the night. .

Jack put on a great performance in all events and was clearly there to win, not just an outing.

The final event, the 20 lap Dirt Track event, was shortened to 10 laps due to a fall requiring medical assistance on the track and eventually a transfer to the hospital. This caused the event to intensify against the night curfew.

However, the final event is one of the best Dirt Track races you’ll ever see at 450.

Last year’s North Brisbane Cup winner Cyshan Weale sped past the hurdles to get into round one with current Australian Champion, hot Jarred Brook trailing on his heels, followed by Red Bull KTM Factory driver in American Flat Track, Max Whale with Jack Miller closely following.

Brook excelled in the dog race and rounded up Weale, who led the race until lap eight.

Whale held off Miller for most of the race, but Miller impressed through the third turn and passed the wall with delight, eventually overtaking Whale and then starting to chase Brook. Miller was eventually able to get past Brook in the eighth round and win.

Jack tried to save his tires by keeping the front or back of the track as much as possible during the day but he had a little fun by burning to celebrate the win.
