Is this Fujifilm’s most anticipated lens?

Fujifilm recently announced the new and highly anticipated XF 56mm f/1.2 R WR. This lens is an update to the popular 56mm f/1.2 R lens, loved by Fujifilm X users since it was announced in early 2014. But how much improvement can we see? Have the initial lens criticisms been addressed? This amazing video provides real world insights.

Coming to you from Kevin Mullins, a UK-based Fujifilm expert and wedding photographer, this video looks at some real-world images taken with the newly released XF 56mm f/1.2 R WR lens. The 56mm f/1.2 lens has long been a staple in the camera bags of Fujifilm users everywhere. Kevin addressed any long-standing complaints some users had with the original 56mm lens and let us know if it’s worth the upgrade (spoiler alert: I’ll be replacing the trusty 56mm). with the new version as soon as possible).

Until recently, and shortly after the emergence of the X-mount, Kevin was Fujifilm’s ambassador. He’s influenced many wedding photographers to switch to the brand, so if anyone can give us an opinion worthy of our time, it’s him.

Kevin elaborates on how he’s been using the lens in his work lately, but if you’d like to see the new lens specs, check them out here.
