Sanju Samson, RR captain: This season is really special for us. Two or three seasons ago, all the fans were having a hard time. It’s good to give them happy moments. Really proud of my team.
Kumar Sangakkara, Cricket Director of RR: The whole team was really focused, got along well and played a lot of good cricket matches. We have been through ups and downs. It’s been a great journey, great franchise to be a part of.
Jos Buttler, Player of the Tournament: It’s disappointing that we didn’t win the trophy. Congratulations Hardik and team. They are worthy champions. My goal is to play my part for the team. We have great confidence in everyone on our team. Unfortunately, I’ve lost a lot of finals in my career. It was a great tournament.
Hardik Pandya, Man of the Match: Want to show at the right time what I have worked so hard for. I saved the best for last. It’s all about sticking to the right length and asking the hitters to play the right shots. For me, my team is the most important. Batting came to me first. It is always close to my heart.
