Instagram used to be the go-to tool for professional and amateur photographers alike, but alas, the algorithm has changed and with it the allure of Instagram. It’s still worth it, though, and with changes coming in 2023, it might be worth your attention again.
Not long after Instagram became popular upon its release, I became fully invested in the platform. I’ll make sure I’m posting daily, I’ll be interacting with all the comments, and I’ll take the time to go through the relevant hashtags and be active with them – I’ve done anything. anything and everything that can help growth. Then, as is the case with Facebook pages, a major change to the algorithm was made and everything I knew became more or less redundant. My participation fell to the floor and my motivation joined it; It’s no longer worth spending time chasing growth on Instagram.
It’s a shame — I’ve attracted customers through this platform and been part of some communities, but that’s how it goes. And so I switched to a more efficient use of my time when taking pictures. Now, however, we’re seeing the rise of Instagram, and the proposed changes in 2023 could mean you should ditch the app or redouble your efforts.
