Indians choose not to have children
“I am not good with children. I don’t know what to tell them in five minutes.”
In India’s predominantly family-oriented society, having children is the norm.
But most Indians are now having fewer children and a growing number are choosing never to become parents.
BBC correspondent Nikita Mandhani spoke to several Indians who have decided to no longer have children, to understand their reasons and society’s perception of their choice.
