If your car doesn’t have a red glowing side exhaust, what’s the point?

I’ve always been involved wild car tuner companyfrom 80s icons like speed And Koenig to more modern brands such as Walk freely And Mansory. Whether the final product actually looks or not Good, in my eyes, the crazier the better. One of my favorite tuners is Brabuslong-time modifier of all Mercedes vehicles, and recently the German brand has installed a number of its cars G-wagen car with a truly ridiculous feature that I absolutely love: bright red exhaust tips.

You read that right. Introduced for the first time Brabus’s fastest and silliest Rocket models, you can opt for larger side-exit exhaust tips with carbon fiber trim and a red LED ring placed around each exhaust tip deeper in the surround. Brabus calls it the Rocket Launch Ambience Light, and in addition to the lights, it features a performance boost over the stock exhaust and active flaps for a quiet “home” mode. As you can see from this Brabus 800 I saw the other day – the midrange tuning package for the AMG G63 – the red light is very noticeable, even in the daytime.

Do I admit that this is quite confusing and silly? Correct. Do I think it’s one of the best car modifications ever created? Also yes. The G-Class is already one of the most ridiculous cars on the road, and those side exhausts are one of the AMG version’s most iconic features—even with noise-cancelling headphones on, I not only can listen but also feel when one G63 rumbled past, and the effect was even stronger from inside the car.

If you’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars (maybe even hundreds of thousands) on an already expensive and outlandish G-wagen, why not choose a bright red exhaust? That’s the highlight on the wide body kit, carbon fiber spoiler, giant wheels, bright leather, pickup conversion and other direct options that Brabus offers.

Brabus doesn’t stop at glowing exhaust pipes either. Some of its recent creations also feature glowing red lights on the grille. That’s right.
