Idris Elba Thinks He Was Actually Shot In ‘American Gangster’ Scene

Idris Elba says he believed he was actually shot in his final scenes being submitted to American Gangster.

In the movie, his character, Tango, tries to get money from drug dealer Frank Lucas. Frank put a gun to his head and Tango was about to shoot him in the middle of the street — and Frank did.

“What happened, I said to Idris ‘Listen, when he puts the gun to your head against the gun’ – because this is a solid barrel, no aperture gun. I would never. risky hour – but when you pull the trigger there’s recoil, no space, nothing,” he said.
