I will destroy the Winner Beterbiev-Smith

Anthony Yarde plans to destroy the winner of the upcoming light-heavyweight unification match between Artur Beterbiev and Joe Smith Jr.

Three world titles will appear on June 18 at Madison Square Garden Theater, New York, and Yarde (22-2, 21 KOs) could knock out the winner.

Heavyweight Brit is the number one contender for Smith’s WBO title and also placed third in the WBC and IBF rankings, where Beterbiev is the champion.

“I’ll be watching closely as they battle each other, and I’ll find a way to destroy the winner,” Yarde said in a Queensbury Promotion press release.

It’s been almost three years since Anthony Yarde’s first and only world title challenge to date. On 24 August 2019, the Londoner was in Russia to host Sergey Kovalev. Despite being stopped in round 11 after a memorable match, he said the experience would work in his favor.

“I definitely feel in a better place. The reason I feel in a better place is because I’ve accumulated more experience and I’ve been at that level before.

“I can say that there is not much pressure, but there will always be pressure. I’ve had experience and, with that, I feel like I know what I need to do. ”
