I have over 25 perfumes, but I use this $60 from OUAI the most
First, I have to talk about my favorite perfume – Dean Street perfume. It is inspired by London, and it is described as a “fruity flower”, with top notes of mandarin, lemon, grapefruit and apricot, middle notes of rose, magnolia, muguet and violets. The base is amber, linden, flowers, and musk. Together, they create a fresh, slightly sharp and completely timeless scent.
Since trying it, I’ve been obsessed. In fact, I’ve been wearing it non-stop for the past week. It’s a perfume I can wear every day and never get bored.
This fragrance is inspired by the coastal town of North Bondi in Australia. As such, it creates beachy layers of Italian lemon, jasmine, bergamot, rose, violet and sheer white musk. For me, it’s a warm, soft and perfect floral; it reminds me of a day at the beach—the faint scent of sunscreen, skin warmed by the sun and the fresh breeze blowing from the water.
If you love a gourmet fragrance (which is just a flowery word for sweet and sugary scents like our Victoria’s Secret and old-fashioned Bath & Body Works favorites) , then this rose water is for you. Notes of rose, champagne and bergamot are balanced by cedarwood and white musk. It’s sweet, but it’s not sugar. Think expensive chocolate-covered strawberries and the drive down PCH to Malibu.
If your vibe is less LA and more Paris, there’s also a fragrance for you. This one, inspired by the City of Light, has a certain elegance and sophistication. All thanks to top notes of violet, middle notes of gardenia and ylang-ylang, and base notes of white musk. It’s the scent I imagine Jane Birkin or Catherine Deneuve would achieve.
