How to Accurately Focus on Moving Water in Landscape Photos

Focus stacking is one of the most useful techniques a landscape photographer can have in their bag of tricks, making it easy to create extremely sharp images across the entire frame. However, it can be a bit confusing when you have water moving in the frame. This great video tutorial will show you how to properly focus such a photo to get the best possible results.

Coming to you from Alister Benn’s Expressive Photography, this helpful video tutorial will show you how to focus a stack of moving water landscape photos. Focus stacking is usually a pretty simple technique and an effective way to sharpen your images, but it gets a bit trickier when you have elements moving across the frame. That said, it’s still a worthwhile technique even in these situations, as it’s really the best way to get perfectly sharp shots from corner to corner. Check out the video above for the full recap from Benn.
