How the 49ers changed with McCaffrey

Our NFL Nation reporters answer questions about fantasy football every Tuesday during the NFL season. Here’s what they had to say after Week 7.

DeAndre Hopkins hit almost half of the target on his season debut… that’s probably unsustainable, so what usage rate do you think is reasonable to expect going forward?

Being targeted at 48% of the Cardinals’ throws on Thursday night was unsustainable for a few key reasons: Defense won’t let that happen and Arizona will have Robbie Anderson Ready for a full vehicle this weekend. But it’s not out of the question to think that Hopkins might have a utilization rate of around 30-40%, that is until the defense starts using more layers of protection to get him going. Arizona has seen the kind of impact he can have on this roster, and the Cardinals won’t shy away from using that until they can’t anymore. – Josh Weinfuss

The Falcons followed 100% of their attacks and still only threw 13 passes (29 runs). Any words of optimism you can bring to those people Drake London and/or Kyle PittsOr should we stop raising hopes for this season?

You say the word optimistic? Coach Arthur Smith will continue to do what he believes is necessary to win games, and so far, the Falcons have remained in the NFC South conversation. Atlanta is taking deep hits – and in the case of Pitts, he was targeted seven times on Sunday (twice didn’t count due to penalties), so the Falcons are still looking for the men. , but it looks like it could be one of two situations depending on the week for Pitts and London. Until Cordarelle Patterson profit, it can start at your own risk, because Patterson has a chance to unlock the entire offense. – Michael Rothstein

Gus Edwards watched a portion of his season debut: Do you think he’ll run away with the lead in this backyard with JK Dobbins as an injured substitute?

Edwards is Raven’s undisputed return and his workload will only increase as the season goes on. Based on how he gets past the Browns defenders, Edwards will get about 15 takes per game and get the majority of red zone touches for Raven running back. There is no basis that Dobbins will regain his full mobility following arthroscopic surgery this week. So Edwards is a safe bet to maintain the lead for the rest of the season. The only uncertainty in defence is the return of No 2. Justice Hill seems to be the leader, but Kenyan Drake is the only Baltimore to run back to break 100 yards in a game this season. – Jamison Hensley

From Week 8 onwards, the top scorer on this list will be…

Midfielder PJ Walker. He hasn’t officially been selected as the starter against Atlanta, but interim coach Steve Wilks likes to play with hot hands. He also said after Sunday’s win it would be difficult to replace Walker after his two-touch performance against Tampa Bay even if Baker Mayfield (ankle) and Sam Darnold (ankle) healthy. Atlanta’s passing defense ranks near the bottom of the NFL so it offers plenty of opportunities. – David Newton

Noah Brown lead the Cowboys team in the goals in Dak Prescottof back. He’s in 94% of the tournaments… think he could see steady volume in the future?

That would be a risky bet. He’s never had so much attacking action in his career, so there’s no worry he’ll hold onto a season as a full-time player. However, more action is needed to Michael Gallup, Dalton Schultz and CeeDee Lamb when Prescott feels more comfortable coming back from thumb surgery. With 25 catches in 239 yards, Brown has already surpassed his season-high in both categories and will soon surpass his total in his four seasons, but will he Is it possible to maintain that level of work, plus the continuation at special teams? For a simple game it might be worth it, but it’s not something worth counting on a weekly basis. – Todd Archer

Parris Campbell had strong trading volume for the second week in a row. Michael Pittman is WR1 in this offense, but would you rank Campbell first Alec Pierce the rest of the way?

It was a tough call. Campbell played significantly more snaps than Pierce (although Pierce’s snap count is increasing). Pierce, on the other hand, is more likely to be targeted on deep shots and as such, could have more potential for big play. But with Monday’s decision to switch to midfield Sam Ehlinger, a quick throw offense seems more likely. If that’s true, I’m guessing that Campbell will be more involved in the future. – Stephen Holder

Continuous working week for Tre’Quan Smith. He’s free in most tournaments… should we consider him a reasonable darts thrower to perform in any match? Michael Thomas inactive?

Between the Saints’ attacking midfield situation and the large number of incoming targets Chris Olave, I wouldn’t consider Tre’Quan Smith a reliable choice at this point. However, one name to consider for those looking for tight endings is Juwan Johnsonwho has been a big part of the offense this year, especially with Adam Trautman currently hurt. – Katherine Terrell

What did you learn about this offense in the first game of Christian McCaffrey era?

That it still has a lot to fix if it wants to maximize many of McCaffrey’s skills. Look, McCaffrey’s role will expand beyond the 21 moments he played on Sunday, possibly as early as next week. But the Niners still made too many blunders – first penalty, bad spin – for this team to open fire on all turrets. Talent is there, but until the Niners stop making the same mistakes they made in all four defeats, too many people think McCaffrey will be the panacea for this unit. – Nick Wagoner

Candlestick brave cat Are managers encouraged by the sheer number of recent passes or worried that this team can’t score?

No. The Bucs couldn’t score, period. Their output has increased from an average of 31.43 points a game last year to 16.71. Brady’s only reliable target right now is Mike Evanshe only completed 66% of the passes Chris Godwin (down from 77.2% last year) and Julio Jones and Russell Gage suffered multiple injuries. – Jenna Laine
