House Flipper Pets VR proves every game is better with dogs and cats
Is this unruly? If that’s the case, I’m fine with being spoiled. House Flipper Pets VR is a new spin-off from the fixed scrub sim, adding dogs, cats, and co-op multiplayer. So you can clean up a house with a friend and then fill it with furniture your pet friend will love.
Here is the announcement trailer:
I played a bit of the original House Flipper, and it was hard to listen to but satisfying. You buy damaged houses, scrub and repair them, then sell them for a higher price so you can buy better mops and other tools to flip the next one. It’s about the icy satisfaction of performing routine tasks. House Flipper VR, released last year, is the same but in VR seems to be held back by the difficult controls.
Among the new features in House Flipper Pets VR are “Furniballs”, which you can see in the trailer above. They let you throw balls filled with stuff into the world to drop things in your house, or similarly throw balls to suck things back up.
However, it is the partnership and pets that are the biggest addition. You can pet your pets, play with them, set up a scratching post for your cat, etc. It’s the perfect type; House Flipper, while satisfying, is also a lonely experience. For that reason, co-op is also welcome, and where games similar to Viscera Cleanup Detail benefit greatly.
The developer promises constant updates for House Flipper VR, with Pets VR currently having no release date. It has one Steam page with some screenshots and other info.
