Honda CR-V runs on hydrogen, Mercedes eSprinter performance, Mach-E milestone: Car News Today

Ford announced that it was done 150,000 electric Mustang Mach-E SUVs. This number is much higher than its initial prediction at this point, but it still has some work ahead to catch up with the Tesla Model Y.
Mercedes-Benz has hinted that its upcoming eSprinter electric car could be the new standard for efficiency. In practical range and in third-party certified performance—and in the large, high-roof version—it claims a range of more than 295 miles from a usable battery capacity of less than 110 kWh.
Hyundai and Korean battery supplier SK On have formed an alliance to set up US EV facilities that would comply with the battery and mineral sourcing requirements in the Inflation Recovery Act — potentially qualifying future Hyundai, Kia and perhaps Genesis models for the credit. The highest EV tax is worth $7,500.
Volkswagen is said to be negotiating with Foxconn—maker of iPhones and other electronics, now an automaker—is likely to build its upcoming Scout electric truck. That marks a change for VW, which was previously looking for a new independent production site.
And Honda has announced that they will make a hydrogen fuel cell version of the CR-V starting in 2024, in Ohio. For the first time, the fuel-cell-powered CR-V will also offer home charging for short-range driving around town.
