Honda ADV 160 in Indonesia, new 156.9 cc engine, HTSC traction control, ABS, 30 liter storage compartment


Starting its official launch in Indonesia after a series of introductory videos is the Honda ADV 160 2022. There are two ADV 160 models on offer, the Combined Braking System (CBS) version priced at 36 million rupiah (RM10,624) and the ABS version. and the traction of the equipped variant is at 39.25 million Rupiah (11,583 RM).

Aesthetic changes to the ADV 160 compared to the previous ADV 150 are minimal, with the head and tail lights remaining the same but with some changes to the body panels. In addition, the two-position manually adjustable windscreen is now higher while the USB charger located inside the front cover remains.

A major change has been made in the setup, which has now been lowered to 780 mm from the previous 195 mm, making things easier for shorter riders. Increasing the size is the storage compartment under the saddle, increased by 2 liters to have a full volume of 30 liters in this second generation ADV 160.

The biggest change of all is seen in the engine room, the ADV 160 uses a 156.9 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, ESP+ engine, powered by Honda’s PGM-Fi . Power is 15.8 PS at 8,500 rpm and 14.7 Nm of torque. CVT gearbox and belt drive to the rear wheel.

Other specs are similar to the ADV 150 that was introduced in 2019, including telescopic forks up front and twin Showa shocks at the rear. Asymmetric wheel sizes are used, 14-inch wheels at the front and 13 inches at the rear, come with 110/80 and 130/70 tires, while the smart key system is used before. on ADV 150 is switched.
