Honda Accord Hybrid review, ID.4 recall, $2,000 off when switching to EV: Car News Today

Volkswagen recalls some first year ID.4 electric vehicles. California considers money for EV conversion. And we test drive the 2023 Accord Hybrid. This and more, at Green Car Reports.

in one first test drive of Honda Accord Hybrid 2023, we found that the model isn’t different in some respects from its predecessor, but it does improve on efficiency, refinement and most important driving measures. It also feels sportier like a hybrid.

California lawmakers are proposing a bill, backed by SEMA, that would give residents a rebate up to $2,000 to convert a gas car into an electric car. It helps address an inconvenient truth: that as California rapidly shifts sales away from gas-powered models, it will take longer to transition its fleet of real-life vehicles to electric.

Volkswagen is revoked over 20,000 US ID.4 EVs from the 2021 model year for a problem that could turn off the powertrain suddenly. While VW has had many problems with the software, this is the first to affect the propulsion.
