Hayden Panettiere Recalls Her Nashville Main Stage Fears
Even famous country singers sometimes get stage fright—or at least the people who play them on TV.
Hayden Panettiere—who played country pop singer Juliette Barnes in all six seasons of Nashville from 2012 to 2018—she recently recalled how dumbfounded she was when she first recorded music for the show.
“I have no training. Like, terrified, scared, trembling,” Hayden told E! News’ summary. “I walked in, apologizing to the producers because I was like, ‘Look, it’s going to take me a long time to warm up but I’ll get there. I’ll get it done, I promise.'”
That’s when things changed, and she had the most understandable reaction of all.
“They said to me mid-session, ‘All the producers are going to drop by,'” Hayden told the host. Erin Lim Rhodes. “I almost vomited, pooped, fainted. I think I called someone and said, ‘Nobody told me,’ crying and sobbing.”
Hayden, of course, will eventually become more comfortable and go on to record a long list of memorable songs for Nashville. Her track “Telescope” from the show’s first season even broke Billboard’s Country Songs Chart in 2012.
