Have you used this cool new feature in Adobe Camera Raw?

Many people think that Adobe Camera Raw is simply Lightroom’s Development Module inside Photoshop. It is, but it also has its own exclusive features. Check out this great new update added to Adobe Camera Raw recently that adds a whole new dimension to selections.

I’ve always felt that Adobe was hedging its bets with the Adobe Camera Raw plugin. For people like me who have learned how to edit digital photos in Photoshop, Adobe Camera Raw has always been a kind of bridge to Adobe Lightroom, or a glimpse of some of its features. In its early days, I had never reviewed the Adobe Camera Raw plugin from within Photoshop and felt it could do anything more efficiently than what I already knew how to do in Photoshop. But Lightroom’s features have evolved a lot in recent years, and with that comes Adobe Camera Raw. But sometimes Adobe adds exclusive features in the Adobe Camera Raw plugin just to keep things cool.

And that brings us to this amazing video by Anthony Morganti, in which he introduces one of the new features in Adobe Camera Raw that you can’t find in Lightroom. To be honest, it’s still not clear to me why Adobe separates features between its three main photo editing software, but it’s wise to keep them up to date as more knowledge means more knowledge. better editing and of course, better results. This new update deals with selections, tone curves, and masks, and is very helpful to know. Let me know what you think about this new update.
