Google Pixel 9 Series Might Get This Apple Intelligence-Like Feature, Redesigned Panorama Mode: Check Out the Details
iPhone 16 series and iPhone 15 Pro users will get a bunch of Apple Intelligence features announced at WWDC 2024. Rumored to be coming in iOS 18.1, the features include call recording, summarization, and transcription on iPhone. While Apple is the first company to announce these features, Google could be the one to implement them as reports suggest that Google is also working on introducing similar features in the upcoming Pixel 9 series.
Google Pixel 9 Series: AI-Powered Call Notes
Recently, the messenger Dylan Roussel Google is reportedly working on an AI-powered Calls Notes feature, according to a report on X. The new feature could allow Pixel 9 users to record and transcribe calls. Google could use the Gemini Nano to manage call recording summaries.
Pixel 8 or 8a users with a Gemini Nano can now record an actual conversation on the Recorder app and convert it into a full transcript along with a summary. This can happen on the device and does not require an internet connection.
It is speculated that the upcoming Call Notes feature could work the same way for phone calls and work on the new Pixel 9 devices. Furthermore, the Pixel 8 supports a similar feature, which means that these devices could also get Call Notes. The feature would be a new addition to the Pixel’s existing Call Assist features including Call Screen, Hold for me, and Direct my call.
However, it is not yet clear which countries will get the new Calls Record feature in the initial rollout. For example, Apple’s iOS 18 is also coming with a similar feature for recording, transcribing, and summarizing calls. The feature has been confirmed to be available in multiple languages and countries. Apple’s new feature will be available in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, Mexico, Spain, France, Japan, China, Hong Kong, and Brazil in multiple languages depending on the country. Google is expected to roll out the feature in a similar manner.
Rumors of a Redesigned Panorama Feature Launch
In addition to the new Calls Record feature, the Google Pixel 9 is expected to feature a redesigned Panorama experience. This feature will be a new addition to the Pixel’s existing photography features like Pixel screenshot, Add Me, and Reimagine with.
Google decided to remove the Photo Sphere feature that users preferred over Panorama on the Pixel 8 series. Panorama’s user interface has remained unchanged for years.
The Google Pixel 9 series is expected to launch on August 13. The upcoming lineup has been making news ever since its announcement. Recent leaks have revealed that the vanilla Pixel 9 model will be available in vibrant colors like pink. The Pixel 9 series is also expected to come with new camera upgrades aside from the main sensor and a better display.
