Google on Wednesday announced Google Fi, the company’s wireless network service, is changing its name to Google Fi Wireless. First, Google added cellular connectivity for the Pixel Watch or Samsung’s Galaxy Watch line to its Simply Unlimited plan.
Normally, smartwatch data plans are $10 a month before taxes and fees, and until today’s announcement, mobile smartwatches cannot be used with the Simple Unlimited plan. Flex and Unlimited Plus plan subscribers already include LTE connectivity for a compatible watch.
Speaking of the Simple Unlimited plan, the single line plan is $50, but currently 2-4 line subscribers will pay $80 a month. It’s not every line. $80 a month, plus taxes and fees.

Previously, if you had two or four lines with Google Fi Wireless, you would pay the same $80 per month. Those with three lines, however, will pay $75 a month. So it’s really a slight price increase for those with three service lines.
Streamlining the cost of multiple lines to effectively $20 each for up to 6 service lines (that would be $120 a month), makes a lot of sense. If nothing else, it makes it easier for the customer to understand the expected cost.
If you add a new line to an existing account or sign up for a new service, you are eligible for free Pixel 6a, SAMSUNG A14 or one Motorola Moto G Power. The chase? The cost of the phone will be split into bill credits over the course of 24 months. However, it’s not a bad deal.
