It will be very Hummer Christmas for some households, like Synthetic engine said it will start delivering electric GMC Hummer pickup trucks in December, according to GMC owner Duncan Aldred. And now we know the truck of EPA Range number: 329 miles on a single charge.
GM had previously predicted that the Hummer would achieve a range of 350 miles.
That 329 miles number applies to the Hummer Edition first, the top repeat, plus $100,000, will be the first iteration vans off line. Version 1 will also drag up to 7,500 pounds and carry 1,300 pounds.
Aldred told reporters during a conference call that the next, cheaper models will achieve a longer range and will be available in 2023.
However, more than 80% of Hummer reservations are for Edition 1. Aldred says nearly half of the 125,000 people who expressed interest in a Hummer dropped $100 to pre-order one. GM says the first year of production of the Hummer has sold out.
