GMC canyon next generation scout with big screen and heavy camo

The next generation of middleweight GM pickup trucks are on the way getting ready and the shoot spies give us an early look at the new interior GMC . Gorge.

To our pleasure, new Gorge The interior doesn’t even look like it from afar current truck. Relationship between new interior of new Sierra and what we can see in these Canyon scouting footage is not to be missed. While it’s not an exact replica or a scaled-down version of, the Canyon’s display hardware looks similar to Sierra’s. We can see the volume knob protruding from the top left corner, and the entire screen is covered by glossy black plastic. The software it is running is the new GM Cars Android based infotainment that we have sampled in 2022 Yukon. Just like on that car, we can see that Google Maps is the native navigation system and it has the same shortcuts on the left side of the screen.

Below the screen, the next-generation Canyon has all the climate control features. The model we are reviewing here must be a premium version, because it has heated and cooled seats. Another indication that this pattern may be Denali (or other higher trim) is the clapboard trim on the door that is mostly covered with camouflage. We can’t make all of that clear, but any amount of wood trim on a midsize pickup is meant to be luxury.

It is difficult to tell what is going on with the steering wheel, although we can see what appear to be silver switches surrounded by flat black buttons. The analog instrument cluster is hard to see, but if a glimpse of the “125 miles blank” indicator is any indication, it’s most likely a fully digital cluster. However, we will need to wait to fully confirm that thinking.

When it comes to the exterior, there’s not much to see under the dense camouflage. We get a decent look at the mesh rear grille, and the front-lit LEDs are also partially visible. We will note that there are not many front bumpers in this test vanswhich makes it look like an off-road capable pickup – it’s just as extreme as The Canyon prototype we tracked last year has a ZR2 . style suspension.

The large wheel fitted to this tester gives more credence to what could possibly be a Denali. The rear is probably even more covered up than the front, making it all the more difficult to see what GM is hiding.

We still don’t know exactly when GM will unveil its new midsize pickups, but the prototype looks like it’s far from production. Look for something that will hit during or before the 2024 model year.
