GM Ultium EV ramp, leaf-powered pickup, fast food charging: Car News Today

Nissan teases a very compact spin on the electric truck. Some Taco Bell locations are adding super-fast EV charging. And GM reports that it won’t hit the expected 400,000 EVs by the end of 2023. This and more, here Green Car Report.

GM last week gave some indication that they are facing Ultium EVs’ slower mass production on the market Bolt EV and EUV output and sales remain strong and it announced a large increase in gasoline truck deliveries. The slow start has been attributed to battery supplies — specifically the joint venture plant in Ohio — although it still plans to hit its goal of 1 million EVs per year in North America by 2025.

Nissan has yet to confirm whether it is building the Max-Out electric pickup that debuted late last year; but is showing a Nissan Sunny EV runs on leavesat this week’s SEMA show in Las Vegas.

And more than 100 Taco Bell restaurants are getting EV nhanh fast charging stations at 75 kW and above, allowing an additional 100 miles of range for many tram drivers in as little as 20 minutes. Locations are enabled with US-made battery-boosting charging hardware, some with on-site solar power. Is this a new model for fast food EV charging?
