Ryder will be the latest customer of General Motors’ BrightDrop electric truck.
The rental company on Monday announced plans to buy 4,000 BrightDrop trucks through 2025, with the first 200 to be ordered this year, according to a company press release. The first cars will be the BrightDrop Zevo 600 2023 models headed to rental fleets in California, Dallas-Fort Worth and New York City later this year, followed by the Zevo 600 and Zevo 400 2024 models to arrive. sometime between this summer and the beginning of the calendar year 2024 .

GM launched the BrightDrop brand in January 2021 and unveiled the first electric truck just a few days later.
