Gentari signs agreement with EV Connection, Yinson GreenTech for JomCharge, ChargeEV network access
Energy solution provider Gentari signed a tripartite agreement with Connecting electric vehicles And Yinson Green Technology to enable cross-tracking and cross-access charging for electric vehicles on the Gentari, JomCharge and ChargeEV mobile apps, the company announced today. According to Gentari, this inter-brand access will be made available in June.
This tripartite agreement essentially gives EV users access to a total of 550 electric vehicle charging points across Malaysia, or more than two-thirds of the total EV charging points in the country with Gentari operating over 150 charging points, ChargeEV with nearly 300 charging points. charging points and JomCharge with 100 charging points, Gentari said in its statement.
It’s basically like a roaming deal, allowing users of any Setel, JomCharge and ChargeEV apps to use the charger on three networks.
“To accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in Malaysia, it is essential to prioritize the customer experience. Thus, by June, users will have the added benefit of cross-access charging, giving them access to approximately 70% of all charging points in Malaysia,” said Gentari’s director of green mobility, Shah Yang Razalli. .

According to the company, Gentari’s 150 charging points are distributed across 35 locations in Malaysia, along with over 160 charging points in India, where it is also present. Gentari aims to capture 10% of the market, or about 25,000 charging points “across key markets” in Asia Pacific by 2030.
At the same time, Gentari aims to install 9,000 public charging points by 2026 with a presence mainly in Malaysia and India.
