Gentari ends promotion of charging price per kWh – Electric vehicle charging at centers now costs up to RM1.70/kWh
The promotional period for Gentari chargers priced in kWh has now ended and prices have been revised. This applies to Gentari’s four EV charging centers located at Sunway Serene Park X, Bangi . Golf Resort, Petronas Bandar Baru Ayer Hitam (Johor) and Petronas Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah (Ipoh).
The new rates per kWh are as follows:
- AC 7kW, 11kW, 22kW – RM0.90/kWh
- DC up to 30kW – RM1,30/kWh
- DC 50kW-180kW – RM1.50/kWh
- DC 350 kW – RM1.70/kWh
The kW categories above are based on the charger’s wattage, not how fast your car can receive power, so if you charge at the most powerful 350 kW charger your car can only get 100 kW, you will still pay the highest price of RM1.70. Read more about the charge curve to understand this.
Previously, the promotional price was set at RM1.2/kWh for the 350 kW DC charger and RM1/kWh for all other DC chargers. The promotional rate for AC is RM 0.55/kWh.
There are currently no price changes for time-based Gentari chargers.
