Genesis Invitational 2023 tee times: As Tiger Woods, the field begins Round 1 on Thursday in the Riviera

Tiger Woods is officially back. Entering the Genesis Invitational 2023 arena, the 15-time major champion will break his hiatus from the PGA Tour that extends from the 2020 Zozo Championship. Although he has played in major championships since then, Woods’ participation in a “regular” tournament went unnoticed and was a pleasant surprise when he injured his leg and foot.

Tiger will tee off with friends Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas on Thursday and Friday at the Riviera. Thursday’s first round will be at 3:04 p.m. ET, while their Friday tee time will be 10:24 a.m. Woods isn’t the only player in the field that you should keep an eye on because 19 of the top 20 players in the Official World Golf Ranking went to the Pacific Palisades in California.

Headed by world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, the three-horse race at the top of the golf world seems to be taking shape just as the players head home to the 2023 Masters in less than two months. Scheffler was paired with other major champions Jordan Spieth and Collin Morikawa. That trio will play at 3:15 p.m. Thursday and 10:25 a.m. Friday.

Jon Rahm perfects the game’s elites, and he’ll have his chance to reclaim the world No 1 spot if he wins at the Riviera Country Club. Rahm is in the same group as Patrick Cantlay and Viktor Hovland. That trio will tee off at 10:24 a.m. Thursday and 3:04 p.m. Friday.
