- Genesis has updated its mid-size sedan with a long-wheelbase model

Genesis has revealed the updated version of the It’s the electrified G80. just two years after the first battery-powered mid-size sedan went on sale.
The car was officially launched on Thursday at the 2024 Busan auto show in South Korea and will be available at The United States is the model for 2026. This is expected to arrive in showrooms next year.
The current G80 Electrified is already an impressive sedan, and rather than disrupt the winning formula, Genesis is focused on improving the sedan further, as well as increasing the luxury features.
The key update is a wheelbase that’s been extended by about 5.1 inches, giving rear-seat passengers more legroom. Genesis has also made changes to reduce noise, vibration, and harshness.

There are also new options typically reserved for luxury sedans in a much more expensive segment than the $80,000 price tag that The G80 Electrified sitsThese include a push-button system to close the doors, as well as rear window blinds and Executive-style seats with footrests.
Other changes include a new 27-inch display incorporating a digital gauge cluster and infotainment system, a redesigned front fascia, new 19-inch disc-style wheels, and an electronically controlled charging port cover. and headlights with micro lens array technology. This technology uses thousands of small lenses to help focus the light emitted from LEDs, creating brighter, cleaner light.
Genesis hasn’t mentioned any changes to the powertrain. The current G80 Electrified comes with a four-motor, all-wheel-drive powertrain that makes 365 horsepower. The sole battery is an 87.2-kWh unit. The EPA’s estimated range for the car is 282 miles.
Genesis says U.S. specifications for the 2026 G80 Electrified may vary and will be announced at a later date.
