Rapper Future back in court for child support thanks to an ex, Brittni Mealy, according to a report from Radar.
According to a petition seen by this newspaper, Mealy is accusing the famous father of seven of paying an excessive amount to care for their 9-year-old son, set at $3,000 a month. in 2014. However, since the order was placed, Mealy claims there has been a “significant change in” Future’s income and a change in his son’s financial need.
The mother stated in the petition that the “Codeine Crazy” star barely spent parenting time with the child. Brittni said Future didn’t “carry out her scheduled parenting time” because she “carried the extra cost on” of their son. She said the cost includes childcare.
She also accused the father of failing to maintain court-ordered dental insurance. Brittni reportedly wanted Future to keep the $350k life insurance policy and name their son as the beneficiary.
Future says he’s consistent and timely with child support
However, months later, Future took the case to court, demanding that Brittni’s claim be terminated and child support intact. The father argued that he “has paid his child support obligations consistently and in a timely manner.”
Regarding his schedule, Future said the original deal specifically addressed his travel.
“Defendant/Father is currently employed in the entertainment industry and similar work requires him to travel extensively and his hours of work vary depending on the requirements of his work,” it reads. .
The lawsuit comes months after Brittni Meal publicly accused Future of calling her by derogatory names in text messages with their 8-year-old son. The mother shared alleged messages in which Future allegedly called Brittni ah*e while talking to their son about buying clothes.
Future is said to have texted the boy, “Tell your mom,” and the boy replied, “Tell my mom something.” Next, Future is said to have told the Prince, “Your mother is ah*e.”
Brittni wants her son’s famous father to deliberately disdain and demand that he pay the price. The case is still ongoing.
