In case you missed the memo, it’s National Ugly Sweater Day and Alaska Airlines is in the mood to celebrate.

As you know, at TPG, there are some things we love more than winning perks on a flight, and early boarding is no exception. Luckily, there’s an additional festive way to jump rope during the holidays.

For the sixth year in a row, Alaska is back with its famous “ugly sweater” sale, so if ever you had time to show off one of your grandma’s old Christmas sweaters, it’s now. . On December 16th – National Ugly Sweater Day – you’ll get priority boarding if you’re wearing a flashy, festive or just plain fun sweater. The one-day promotion covers all Alaska and Horizon Air flights.

Don’t worry: If you don’t already own a sweater that’s holiday-themed, flashy, or otherwise, Alaska Airlines is selling its own version – and fashion expert Tan France from “Queer Eye” even also give it the seal of approval. “The holiday sweater is the epitome of win-win,” says France. They’re acceptable enough to transition from day wear to a fun after-work event without attracting too much attention.”

AIRLINES ALASKA

For 2021, the airline also offers lounge tickets at a 50% discount. We haven’t heard any updates on this yet, but ask at check-in if this is possible.

In 2019, Natalie Bowman, Alaska Airlines’ executive director of marketing and advertising, explained the reasoning behind the festivals to TPG. “We know that traveling on holiday can be stressful for some, which is why we made sure that flying with ‘merrier airlines’ at this time of year is an experience. experience that brings endless joy to all of our passengers… celebrating Ugly Sweater Day is just another way we’re prioritizing the holidays,” Bowman said.
