French police arrest suspect in stealing Finnish therapeutic data
French police arrested on Friday a 25-year-old Finnish man on suspicion of violating the patient records of some 33,000 psychotherapy clients in Finland, Finland’s central criminal police said.
The Finnish National Bureau of Investigation has issued an international arrest warrant for a man believed to have stolen the personal files of patients at a psychotherapy center based in Helsinki.
The suspect has denied any wrongdoing in the case.
He is believed to have extorted patients and has published some data online, including accounts of private events and trauma, police said.
Immediate measures were started to extradite him to Finland, police added.
