The third and final big free content update for Blasphemy launched this morning, introducing new levels, bosses and more. Dubbed ‘Wounds Of Eventide’ (loving a few wounds with my Catholocism), the update brings the story to a point where the upcoming sequel will continue. As someone who was raised with a good taste of Irish Catholicism, I admire how Catholic feels. Many horror games are set in Catholic lore, mythology, and iconography but fail to capture all of the weirdness or the heavy heart. When I found out this game was made by a Spanish studio, yes, it made perfect sense.
