mountain is expanding its presence in the Southern Hemisphere, opening Australia’s first facility in Tasmania.
The service and logistics facility will enable the new Mountune Australia operation to offer a range of upgrades and accessories for select performance models from Ford, Volkswagen and Audi.
To date, Mountune is still based in the UK but has previously worked with Ford Australia to offer “OEM+” performance packages to its customers.
Its new expansion will give Australian and New Zealand customers easier access to its range.
Aside from the base, the company has also launched a local website detailing the suspension modifications, tunes, exhaust and more to the vehicle. Ford Fiesta ST, Ford Focus ST and RS, Ford Puma, Volkswagen Golf GTI and CHEAPAnd audi S3.
Mountune’s Smartflash upgrades bring a marked improvement in output to the Ford Fiesta ST and Ford Focus ST with the latter increasing torque by 140Nm.
The company also supplies tunes for the MK7 and Golf MK7.5 Volkswagen And MK3Audi S3.
Mountune was founded in 1980 by David Mountain. Its Australian operation will be run by Tom Wallace.
