Flying Blue finally fixed the prize search bug, making it much easier to book award tickets
If you used flying blueAir France and KLM’s bonus unit, chances are you’re well aware of its extremely annoying technical glitch when searching for award tickets.
Finally, the Flying Blue award searches are working properly after years without a solution, because One mile at a time first report.
What is the problem?
You can find Flying Blue award tickets on the Air France or KLM website. To search for bonus space, you must first log in to your Flying Blue account and select “Book by Miles” from the homepage.
Prior to the recent update, the site will take you to a flight selection page showing different bonus prices after entering your search criteria. This used to be your only chance to book without hassle, as any attempt to change your search by selecting “back”, “change”, or making other search tweaks will typically causing the above problem.
In effect, this glitch will terminate your search session as no search criteria can be changed. So there are two common fixes:
- Go to the other airline’s website (for example, if searching on KLM’s website, go to Air France’s website, log back in to your Flying Blue account, and enter your alternative search preferences. friend).
- Close your Air France or KLM tab, clear your browser cookies and start your search again.
- Use Android (some readers say this is a working solution, although TPG never confirmed it.).
This unfortunate glitch has made the search for rewards longer than usual for travelers who haven’t given up on dealing with this technical hurdle.
