New Zealand is high on the dream destination list of many tourists for many reasons.
This island nation boasts unmatched natural beauty, from endless green landscapes and volcanoes to idyllic beaches, diverse wildlife and, of course, wine. The only downside to visiting New Zealand from the US is the long and often expensive flight you have to endure to get there. However, a brand new travel deal gives you the chance to make this trip a reality with big savings.
This sale includes heavily discounted flights on Delta Air Lines, Fiji Airways, Hawaiian Airlines and United Airlines from California to Auckland on New Zealand’s North Island. Most of these itineraries have a stopover each way, although we did find some nonstop United flights during the holiday season.
The prime travel period for this deal is from October to March next year, which is when New Zealand has its best weather. You can get good rates on some routes in July and August if a summer getaway fits better with your schedule. With these airfares, you will get free carry-on baggage and checked baggage along with your ticket.

July and August have some great deals in Southern California. We’ve found Fiji Airways itineraries from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Auckland Airport (AKL) for as low as $786 round-trip.
According to Google Flights, that’s a huge savings compared to the typical cost of this route in the summer.
United enters the conversation with nonstop flights from LA to Auckland in November and December for just $841 round-trip. Incidentally, the itinerary below includes the Thanksgiving holiday. While not as big a discount as we saw at the end of the summer, it’s still a good price.
If you live in the Bay Area, there are plenty of options for you during this sale. You can fly from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to Auckland in July for just $856 roundtrip on Delta. That’s less than half the price this ticket usually costs.
August has even better prices. We found great flights from San Francisco to New Zealand on Fiji Airways for as little as $786 round-trip.
The same rates apply in October and November, including the Thanksgiving holiday.
February also has great deals. This is a trip to Hawaii for only 771 USD for a round trip.
