TAP Air Portugal has just launched a big ticket sale to Europe.
Economy tickets to destinations such as Barcelona, Copenhagen and Paris cost round-trip tickets under $400, while business class tickets to Portugal and various European cities can be booked for The lowest price is 1,749 USD. During this sale, TAP also lets you add a stopover in Portugal for up to 10 days at no additional charge.
As is customary with deals like this, the best price available is for basic economy tickets – TAP’s Discount Tier offers the cheapest fares. You are still allowed to bring one carry-on item, one personal item, and meals. Seat selection costs $14 each way and checked baggage costs $91 per bag. Fares are non-refundable and are subject to a $199 change fee.

You can also find flights from New York City to Paris for under $400 round-trip. Here’s an example for September that caught our eye: You fly from EWR to ORY, with a brief stop at LIS. On your return flight, you will land at JFK. If you agree to return to JFK instead of EWR, this option is a great opportunity to save big on your flight to the City of Lights.
You can also add a free stop in Lisbon to this itinerary. On the “Book a flight” page, after you select the route you want, press the red “Search for flights” button.
A pop-up screen will appear, giving you the option to add a stop in Lisbon or Porto. You can stay for up to 10 days at no additional charge.
As for business class fares, you have to do quite a bit of research but there are plenty of bargains to be had. We found business class seats from New York City to Porto for $2,058 round-trip. That’s a really good price for this route.
