Fly Racing Terra Trek jacket and pants | Reviews on Gear
In a market where new top-of-the-line ADV clothing can cost as much as your monthly rent or mortgage, the Fly Racing Terra Trek jacket and pants combo is a conscious rider’s best friend. on budget. Ready for four-season driving, Terra Trek’s Hydraguard breathable weatherproofing eliminates the need for bulky rain pads and provides the added protection of a windbreaker. When temperatures drop, a removable thermal liner can be attached to each garment to retain body heat. On hot days, opening the waterproof zippers to the chest and leg vents will bring in fresh air (a few extra vents would help).
Fly Racing provides the standard treatment for CE Level 1 armor on the shoulders and elbows of the jacket. A foam back protector is provided, but we recommend upgrading to Fly’s Barricade CE Level 2 back protector ($39.95). Terra Trek pants have CE Level 1 armor at the knee and pockets for optional CE Level 1 hip armor ($23.95).
As it’s geared towards adventurous riding, the Terra Trek duo has a casual cut – not too loose, not too tight, and all-day comfort, thanks in part to the sweat-wicking mesh lining. There are several ways to fine-tune your jacket’s fit, wrap your biceps with snaps and straps, and tighten the waist adjuster. The pants feature adjustments at the waist and calf area to accommodate bulky ADV/MX boots and a sturdy 8-inch zipper that connects the jacket to the pants. Storage is plenty with three outside pockets and several interior compartments on the jacket and two cargo pockets and a zippered side pocket on the pants.
