Florida man laments ruined reputation after pulling gun on Uber driver

Police in Milton, Florida arrested a man after he pulled a gun on him an Uber driver earlier this week, who took his daughter away. Sean Hollonbeck forced the driver out of the vehicle and onto the ground and has since been charged with unlawful confinement and aggravated assault with a weapon, WEAR News reports. After pulling him out of the car, Hollonbeck allegedly forced the driver to lie down on the road, presented his driver’s license so he could take a photo, and allowed him to take photos of his license plate and Uber account. and the address where he picked up Hollonbeck’s car. Daughter.

Turned out to be so, the 13-year-old boy snuck out of his house Saturday night and took an Uber to Pensacola, about 30 minutes away. When he discovered she had snuck out, he called both the Santa Rosa County and Escambia County sheriff’s offices, but received little help from either department. So when she returned home, he made the only logical decision to point a gun at the completely innocent Uber driver.

It’s not entirely clear what kind of gun Hollonbeck used. WEAR News said it was a .22 caliber rifle, but Fox 35 Orlando reports it’s actually an AR-15. Either one can be deadly at close range, and having any gun pointed at your face will make for a bad day.

However, if you think Hollonbeck realized the error of his ways after being arrested and fired from his job, you couldn’t be more wrong. He’s doubling down, insisting he did everything right.

“That car was completely unbranded. In my mind this is not good, right? he told WEAR News. “And everyone knows what’s going on in this country with fentanyl and child trafficking and rape. Horrible stuff.”

He also really wants people to know he’s a veteran, saying, “I served 31 years, I’m a military doctor, I trained as a Navy flight surgeon, I served in the 7th Special Forces Group, I served in the 160th Division. I served six tours.” Of course, that only makes things worse because he’s not a yokel who’s never been taught gun safety rules or the right time to point a gun at someone.

“Much of this story has not been made public. And a lot of this has to do with parental rights,” he said, later adding, “In this country, you are innocent until proven guilty. If it goes to trial, I’m looking forward to it because I want to get 12 moms and dads on that jury and evaluate whether what I did was fair or not – because I called the law enforcement, but I didn’t get them.”

Something tells us that the jury will probably see things differently, but it To be Florida, so you never know. Maybe they’ll decide that pointing a gun at your daughter’s Uber driver isn’t actually illegal. Crazier things have happened in the past.
