After weathering the pandemic for more than two years and taking a cautious approach to reopening, New Zealand finally lifted all travel restrictions on September 13 – and now is the time. Ideal spot to plan a trip.
Fares from many US cities to Auckland have dropped by up to 56%. Other tickets cost up to $1,500.
There is a mix of major cities and smaller cities that offer this deal. Fly to Auckland from New York City or Huntsville, Alabama – fares across the board are under $1,000.

The deal applies to flights taking place between February and March 2023, so there isn’t much flexibility in terms of dates, but for a price as low as this, a trip to Auckland is definitely worth it. .
Be sure to act quickly as these prices will most likely not last long.

This deal is available from more than 50 cities across the US with some offering fares as low as $662. Most flights are by American Airlines, but Air Canada, Jetstar and Air Tahiti Nui also have some. Discount flights in some cities. All flights to Auckland Airport (AKL) in this agreement include at least one stopover.

For the February 5 trip to Auckland departing from Los Angeles, Air Canada is only offering the 5:55pm flight for $847. Options from other airlines are significantly more expensive – all for at least $1,000. The Air Canada flight also includes a stop at Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
Air New Zealand and Air Canada also have a flight back to Los Angeles that will keep the fare at $847. The other flight operated by Air Tahiti Nui and American costs a whopping $4,189; flights from Fiji Airways and American cost $6,026.
Air Canada’s return flight to Los Angeles includes a stop at Brisbane Airport (BNE) and Vancouver; Air New Zealand operates the first leg of its trip to Brisbane.
However, keep in mind that these Air Canada seats are economy class, so there will be additional fees for seat selection, extra legroom, and ticket changes. When you book, you only have 15 minutes on the Air Canada website to confirm your flight details, so plan accordingly – especially as fares under this deal are quite volatile.
You can also pay an extra $10.49 per person for a food voucher on flights from Los Angeles to Vancouver and Vancouver to Auckland.
As for seat selection, Air Canada currently offers standard seats free of charge; otherwise, such seats cost between $17 and $20. Preferred seats with more legroom and in the front of the plane cost $41 to $43. At the time of publication, many of the free standard seats were still available on all four flights to and from Auckland.
For checked baggage, Air Canada Lets you check a bag for free to international destinations; The only exception applies to basic economy class tickets from Canada to Europe. The maximum fee for second checked baggage is $100.

Conclusion
Considering that New Zealand has completely reopened its borders to travel and reduced fares from over 50 cities in the US, now is the time to visit.
Note that the deal only applies to economy fares, so flights won’t come with many perks or those perks will cost extra, which is something to keep in mind when you’re in transit for at least 19 hours on the way to Auckland.
