Flay Retired Pizza Bianca – BloodHorse
Champion of the Breeders’ Cup 2021 for minors (G1T) Pizza Bianca are being retired.
This is according to owner Bobby Flay, who told the Thoroughbred Daily News that the 4-year-old daughter of Fastnet Rock (AUS) who came off her mare Galileo (IRE) White Hot (IRE) happened to be the mare son of into naughty .
“I’m looking forward to starting a new branch of this international family, as she’s the only one out of the White Hot. I chose Into Mischief for his top-level grass and ground horse abilities. race,” Flay told TDN about choosing his first mating partner.
Flay added that Pizza Bianca will be kept and remain part of his broodmare band but he has yet to decide whether to keep her in Kentucky or move her to Europe.
Flay did not return a call seeking comment.
Into Mischief is the lead male in terms of progeny earnings this year, a position he also holds every year since 2019. He stands at Spendthrift Farm for $250,000.
