Flashy winner makes dangerous debut in limestone stake

First bet winner Her world aims to prove her first success as black isn’t luck as she takes on nine other 3-year-olds expected on April 15 on the $200,000 TVG Limestone Stakes la at 5 1/2 on the pitch at Keeneland.

Her world is the daughter of the second plant breed Caravaggio who is tied to the top rookie sire Gunman in 2021 by number of black performers. She will be responsible on Friday by Wesley Ward for partners Andrew Farm, For the People Racing Stable, and Windmill Manor Farm. In Limestone, Her World will face Gregory Kaufman’s Kaufymaker and Waterville Lake Stable’s Derrynane , who finished third and fourth, respectively, in the 2021 Breeders’ Cup (G2T) minors sprint, respectively. Both types of fillings are imported for launch in 2022.

Ward also trains Kaufymaker, who was scratched from the April 10 Palisades Stake, to run in Limestone. Daughter of Jimmy Creed will reunite with driver Jose Ortiz, who took part in the Breeders’ Cup at Del Marand will break from lesson 3.

Derrynane, winner of two of four starts, including Woodbine Cares Stakes, will also make his debut in 2022. Trained by Christophe Clement, Quality Sugar filly will have regular racer Joel Rosario on board and break from post number 6.
