Fisker has asked the judge overseeing its Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings to allow it to sell its remaining Ocean electric SUVs to a rental company for a fraction of their original price. Reuters reported on Wednesday.
The company hopes to sell 3,321 Oceans vessels to American Lease for $14,000 each, according to the report, which cited court filings. On May 30, two weeks before Fisker filed for bankruptcy protectionAmerican Lease reportedly offered to buy 2,100 vehicles, then increased its bid to the current number of vehicles, which is believed to include all Ocean SUVs currently on sale.

A buyer with deep pockets could potentially revive those models.
